Wide feet that never quite settle into a standard boot have a home in the Atomic Hawx Magna 110 S. This high-volume all-mountain boot is built on a generous wide last, with a roomy fit that doesn't give up power thanks to a stiffer performance flex and a fully heat-moldable shell. It's proof comfort and edge control don't have to be a trade-off.

Why we like it:

The wide last is the draw here, opening up real room through the forefoot and instep for skiers who feel crushed in a medium width boot. We also appreciate Power Shift, which lets you tune forward lean across three settings to match how upright or aggressive you like to stand.

Who it's for:

This is the boot for advanced and expert skiers with high-volume feet. Think all-mountain skiers who log full days on trail and off and refuse to choose between fit and power.

Highlights:

Room is the whole point of the Magna, and the 102mm wide last delivers it through the forefoot and instep without giving the boot a sloppy fit. Power Shift lets a fitter or skier set forward lean at 13, 15, or 17 degrees, a nice touch for tuning stance. Closure is a classic four-buckle setup using 6000-series aluminium buckles, two on the shell and two on the cuff, for that locked-in overlap feel. The shell is lightweight Prolite with Memory Fit heat customization, and the Mimic Gold liner heat-molds, adds 3M Thinsulate insulation for warmth, and uses an Ankle Lock to hold the heel. An Energy Backbone drives rebound through the rear cuff while Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment dials in canting, and cantable GripWalk pads give the soles grip and a smoother walking stride.

Things to consider:

The wide last is a gift for high-volume feet but a liability for narrow ones, which will swim inside and lose precision; a medium-last Hawx Prime is the better call there. The 110 flex is strong, though hard-charging experts may want the 120 S or 130 S in the Magna range. And at this width, expect a slightly less razor-sharp edge feel than a narrow performance boot.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Hawx Magna 110 S sits on a 102mm wide last, firmly in high-volume territory for wide or high-instep feet. Because the flex is performance-level, a certified bootfitter is worth the visit to fine-tune the fit. The wide shell can also be punched and ground if you need even more room in specific spots.
